Professor Henry here reviews two books which he hopes will help pull us out of the "doldrums" of political superficiality and conventionality. One of them initiates inquiry into the political development of young children and attempts to study political behavior from a developmental point of view. The other attempts to break through the fences that hem in secondary school political discussions and build a curriculum permitting the analysis of political controversy. Both authors are concerned about teaching young people to put their knowledge to work in order to take rational stands on policy matters; and Burton Henry supports them in their effort to bring the schools in contact with the "genuine, live revolution going on in the streets."
