Title: Critical Issues in CPD
Author: Friedman, A (ed.)
Abstract: This is the fifth book in the ongoing series on the provision of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through UK Professional Bodies. This book deals with problems and challenges for professionals and professional bodies that have concerned those designing, operating and receiving CPD programmes for some time now. These are issues reflecting how CPD is defined, enforced, measured and assessed, and how it impacts on professional practice. In addition some relatively new issues, or issues which have been less widely debated, including employer support for CPD and how CPD might be affected by new government initiatives on education and skills, are discussed.
